World War 1: A conflict between World Powers, its causes and effects!
Background:
The prime cause of WWI was the assassination of Franz ferdinand, an Austrian archduke by a South slave nationalist.WWI is a great topic to discuss and it lasted a tremendous effect on the history of the world.
Overview:
During the WWI, there were two major powers ready to fight against each other. One were the Central Powers i-e Germany,Austria-Hungary , and Turkey. The other were the Allied Powers i-e Britain,Russia,France, Japan and Italy. These countries formed an alliance with each other to compete the Central Powers. The WWI took place during 1914-1918 and it is a mentionable conflict which had a significant effect on the globe politics. The World War I resulted in a huge number of casualties ,almost 21500000 people died during this event.
Timeline of WWI:
• On June 28, 1914,Franz Fredinand was assassinated.
• Right on June 28,1914, Austria-Hungary declares war on Serbia.
• On 7 August,1914,Germany succeeded in its attempt to invade Belgium and Luxembourg.Nations
as discussed in overview formes an alliance namely Allied Nations.
• On 10 August,1914 ,Austria successfully conquers Russia.
• During August 11 – November 11 1914,different events happened which resulted in millions of
casualties.
• Finally on 11 November 1914,Germany entered into the field as a peacemaker,ending the war.
• In 1921,US also initiated to sign a treaty with Austria-Hungary to stop the war and prevent any
war in the future.
Conclusion:
The WWI was initiated without any purpose.It drastically impacted the world peace which resulted in millions of catastrophes .Undoubtedly ,wars are useless and always has a great effect on world-peace.Unjust killing of people cannot be supported in any respect.
